Jennifer Saukko, Medical Receptionist
Jen has performed the job as medical and dental receptionist with integrity for many years. She possesses the knowledge of principles and processes to manage her job successfully. Her friendly demeanor and enthusiasm puts patients at ease.
Jen gives full attention to fill the needs of each and every patient and is always actively looking for ways to help, as she carefully listens to what patients are saying, taking the time to understand each point being made and asking the appropriate questions.
She is experienced and skilled at conveying information effectively to patients and other professionals in the healthcare field, Jen will always do her very best in assisting all of the physicians and their patients with individual needs, especially when it comes to scheduling. Her daily goal is to ensure that patients are treated with kindness and compassion.
Jennifer is devoted to her husband and family.
Christian Ibarra, Medical Assistant
Christian was motivated to pursue a career in the medical profession because it’s a great match with her strong desire to help people. She joined the team in 2002 after graduating from the Santa Barbara Business College Medical Assisting Program.
It’s unlikely that you will see any one of our physicians without passing through Christian’s capable hands first. She checks in all patients and records their vitals. She performs all procedures in the back office, reviews and processes all results, and coordinates all prescriptions. She regularly receives compliments on her gentle way of giving injections, which is practically painless.
She was born and raised in Goleta, and is a devoted mother to three boys. Christian’s small family is very close and tops her priority list.
Shannon Buso, Reception and Billing
When you walk into the office or call for an appointment, the smiling voice you hear is that of Shannon. She joined our staff in 1997 after ten years’ experience in patient administrative services at Cottage Hospital. Shannon can quickly facilitate all the physician referrals, laboratory tests, x-rays and medical procedures ordered for you by our team. She knows all of our patients well (and most of their families!)
Included in her many talents is management of financial services. She handles all medical insurance billing and patient financial accounts for the office.
Shannon spends her time off with her husband and with her children, who range in age from High School to grown adults.
Stephanie Fleming, Certified Medical Assistant
Stephanie maintains the patient care services in the office. She assists in all office procedures such as checking patients in with their vital signs, supervising medication refills and keeping track of patient immunizations.
Her caring and comforting way is what patients look forward to with each visit and every phone call.
Stephanie worked for a Workers Compensation Defense Attorney for 14 years prior to an injury which sent her back to school where she trained to become a Certified Medical Assistant, where she graduated with Honors. She came to work with us in 2005.
Stephanie has lived in Santa Barbara since 1982 and is a Santa Barbara High School Alumnus. She has a close family who all live here in Santa Barbara. Her daughter is now away in college.
