Shannon Buso, Reception and
Billing
When you walk into the office or call for an appointment,
the smiling voice you hear is that of Shannon.
She joined our staff in 1997 after ten years' experience
in patient administrative services at Cottage Hospital.
Shannon can quickly facilitate all the physician
referrals, laboratory tests, x-rays and medical
procedures ordered for you by Dr. Rodgers. She
knows all of our patients well (and most of their
families)!
Included in her many talents is management of
financial services. She handles all medical insurance
billing and patient financial accounts for the
office.
She extends her extroverted personality to her
children ranging from elementary school age, to
teenager, to (almost) adult. On weekends she can
be seen cruising about the county with her husband
on their Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
Cynthia Luna, Certified Medical Assistant
Cynthia runs the patient care services in the office.
She keeps track of patients’ immunizations,
assists with all office procedures, and supervises
medication refills. Her quiet, confident style
of caring welcomes patients at each visit.
Cynthia started as a pharmacy assistant. As her
interest in patient care blossomed, she earned
a certificate as a Certified Medical Assistant.
She joined our practice in 1997. Working full-time,
she also attends CCSB at night and has earned her
AA degree as she pursues her goal of becoming a
registered nurse.
Her family life revolves around her husband and
son whose current efforts involve renovating their
Santa Barbara home.
Pamela Rodgers, AB, RN, Office Manager
Pamela has set up all aspects of the office from
reception, nursing, and, over many years, included
the transition from paper to computerized accounting
and billing. She fills in for the other members
of the staff when circumstances warrant.
She has two grown children who provide her much
delight. On any nice Santa Barbara day she will
be found tending to her garden.
